No two tigers wear the same stripes. The pattern is as individual as a fingerprint, it marks the skin as well as the fur, and it is the reason tiger coloring pages are so satisfying to work on: the hard part of the drawing is already done, and everything between the stripes is yours. These free printable tiger coloring pages follow the animal through its real range of habitats – steaming jungle, bamboo forest, tidal shore, riverbank and deep northern snow – with full-grown Bengal and Siberian tigers, a white tiger, mothers with their young, and plenty of tiger cubs getting into things.
The pages come in two formats. Black-and-white sheets are a single full-page drawing in realistic line art. Sheets with a color sample put a finished painted version on the top half and the same scene as line art below, with a dashed line between them: color with the reference in front of you, or cut it off and work without the answer key. The Show me buttons above the pictures switch between all pages, black and white only, and pages with a color sample. Click any picture and its PDF opens in a new tab, sized for US Letter and fine on A4. On a black-and-white printer the sample comes out as a gray picture, which still shows where the darks and lights fall.
A few things help with tigers in particular. The orange is not one color: lay a pale yellow-orange over the whole coat, deepen it along the back with burnt orange or rust, and leave the muzzle, chest, belly and the patches above the eyes white or cream. The stripes are already inked, so color straight across them with a light hand; a dark brown pencil along one edge of each stripe softens it into the fur. For a white tiger, shade with cool gray and pale blue instead of leaving the paper bare. Colored pencils suit the fur, while markers and watercolor work well on the big leaves and the water. Line art this detailed is drawn with adults and older kids in mind, though a patient younger artist will manage the simpler cub portraits.

Fun Things to Make with These Coloring Pages
- Color a tiger in classic orange, then try the same design as a white Bengal tiger with pale blue eyes and compare the two side by side.
- Print on cardstock, color, and cut out the tiger to make a standing jungle diorama with folded paper leaves.
- Use watercolor washes for the background foliage and keep the tiger in sharp colored pencil so it pops off the page.
- Turn a finished sheet into a birthday card or a bookmark for a big-cat lover.
- Practice stripe shading: layer dark brown under the black stripes for a softer, more natural fur look.
- Frame a colored jungle or waterfall scene as wall art for a kid's room or a nature-themed nursery.
- Color only the flowers and leaves in bright colors and leave the tiger black and white for a striking graphic look.
- Add a few facts about tigers on the back of the sheet and use it as a fun science-and-art activity.
