A unicorn is really an excuse to color a mane. Every sheet in this collection of free printable unicorn coloring pages is built around long, flowing hair and a scene worth spending time on – fairytale castles, waterfalls, enchanted forests, moonlit skies and gardens in full bloom. The line art is detailed enough for adults and teens who like a full page of texture, yet the shapes stay open and clear, so a patient younger colorist can join in on the simpler scenes.
The collection comes in two formats. The classic black and white unicorn coloring pages give you a full-size outline and total freedom with the palette. The pages with a color sample put a finished full-color picture on the top half and the same scene as clean line art below, with a dashed cut line between them – copy the palette shade by shade, or look once and go your own way. Use the Show me buttons above the pictures to see everything, only the black and white pages, or only the pages with a color sample.
The manes are the playground. Rainbow gradients are the classic choice, but try a single family of colors – lavender into violet into indigo – and let the curls do the work. Metallic gel pens on the horns and jewels, a soft pencil wash on clouds and water, deep greens on the leaves: each page has a foreground you can polish and a background you can leave airy. Print on plain paper for a relaxing evening, or on cardstock if the finished sheet is headed for a frame.

8 Ways to Use Your Finished Unicorn Pages
One-palette mane challenge: color a whole unicorn using only shades of a single color – all blues, all pinks – and let the curls carry the depth.
Frame it: color a favorite scene on cardstock, trim the border and put it in a standard frame – a detailed unicorn page reads like a fantasy illustration, not a coloring sheet.
Night-sky effect: on any evening scene, fill the sky with navy pencil and dot the stars with a white or silver gel pen.
Cut and compare: on a page with a color sample, cut along the dashed line, color the outline without looking, then put the two halves side by side.
A greeting card that sings: glue a finished sheet to a folded piece of cardstock and write the message inside.
Bedroom door sign: color a page, letter a name across the top, laminate it and hang it on the door.
Bookmark strips: cut a finished page into tall strips, back them with cardstock and punch a hole for a ribbon.
A matched pair: color two scenes in one style and one palette and hang them side by side.
