Pizza is a round canvas that someone has already divided into slices for you. Every pie on these pizza coloring pages is built the same way a real one is: a puffy rim of crust, a thin layer of sauce, a blanket of cheese and then the toppings, each one a small, separate decision – pepperoni rounds, mushroom caps, pepper rings, tomato slices, basil leaves. The classic Margherita is the simplest of them and, the story goes, was composed on purpose in red, white and green – tomato, mozzarella, basil – which also makes it the easiest pizza to color well. Around the pies are the places pizza actually lives: kitchens where the dough goes up in the air, brick ovens with a fire inside, delivery bikes and front doors, picnic blankets and sofas where it finally gets eaten, and the dogs and cats who never once leave the table.
Click a picture and the PDF opens in a new tab, sized for US Letter and happy on A4 as well. The pages are black and white line art, so plain printer paper and whatever is in the pencil cup will do. Keep the ingredient pages for a quiet evening and the kitchen and party scenes for a table of several people – a pizza, after all, is meant to be shared.
A few colors make pizza look edible instead of flat. Crust is not one brown: start with pale gold, then darken the top of the rim and add a few deep blistered spots. Cheese is cream or straw yellow, never white, and where the sauce shows through it should turn orange rather than red. Pepperoni wants a warm brick red with darker speckles, mushrooms a soft beige with a brown gill line, and basil two different greens so the leaves do not merge. Leave a small white glint on each tomato slice and glass. In the scenes, color the pizza first and brightest – it is the sun everything else orbits around.

Fun Things to Make with These Coloring Pages
- Pizza fraction cards – color one of the whole-pizza pages, cut it along the slice lines and write a fraction on the back of each piece. Reassembling the pie turns into a quick lesson on halves, quarters and eighths.
- Menu board – glue several finished pages onto a sheet of black card, add prices in white gel pen and hang it in the kitchen as a mock pizzeria menu for your next homemade pizza night.
- Toppings bingo – each person colors a different pizza, then takes turns calling out toppings. The first to find and cover every called topping on their page wins the next slice.
- Pizza box lid art – a flat pizza box is a ready-made frame. Trim a colored page to fit the inside of the lid, glue it down and stand the open box on a shelf.
- Order-in placemat – laminate a colored kitchen or restaurant scene or slip it into a plastic sleeve, and it becomes a wipe-clean placemat that comes out whenever pizza is on the table.
- Dinner invitations – fold a sheet of card in half, glue a cropped slice from one of the pages on the front and write the time inside. Hand them out before a pizza-making afternoon.
- Shaded-crust practice – use one pie as a shading exercise: pale gold at the center of the rim, deeper brown at the top edge, a few dark blisters. The same gradient works later for bread, cookies and pie crusts.
- Topping stickers – color the ingredient pages, cut out the individual tomato slices, mushrooms and basil leaves, and stick them with glue dots onto a plain paper circle to design your own pizza from scratch.
