Llamas are the calm, curious, slightly dramatic supermodels of the animal world: a long neck, banana-shaped ears, a fringe that always looks freshly styled and an expression somewhere between polite interest and quiet judgment. They also happen to be a gift to anyone who likes to color. The fleece alone is a project, built from hundreds of small strokes that reward layered creams, tans and browns, and the woven Andean blankets with their tassels and diamond patterns are where bold color finally gets to show off. Here you will find realistic llamas on mountain trails and stone terraces, cute llamas at home, on holiday and in places no llama has any business being, and plenty of baby llama coloring pages with a cria close at its mother's side.
The collection comes in two formats, and the Show me buttons above the gallery switch between them. Black and white sheets are classic line art across the whole page, so every color choice is yours. Sheets with a color sample print a finished, fully colored version on the top half and the same drawing as clean line art on the bottom, with a dashed line between them – copy the palette exactly, borrow half of it or ignore it altogether. Click any picture to open its PDF, then download or print it. Every file is sized for US Letter and prints just as well on A4. On a black and white printer the color sample comes out in shades of gray, so the sample sheets are worth sending to a color printer.
A few habits make a llama page look finished. Build the fleece in two or three light passes and leave tiny flecks of white paper showing, so the wool keeps its fluff. Save the loudest colors for blankets, tassels and bunting – red, orange, turquoise and magenta are the classic Andean set, and they glow next to a cream coat. Darken just the inside of the ears and the hooves, and the whole animal suddenly has weight. Colored pencils handle the detailed scenes best; markers are happiest on the big, open shapes.

Fun Things to Make with These Coloring Pages
- Frame it: color a favorite llama sheet on cardstock, trim the margins and slip it into a simple wooden frame for a nursery or hallway.
- Fiber-look fur: use short, layered pencil strokes in two or three shades of cream, tan and brown to make the llama coats look like real wool.
- Andean palette: color blankets, tassels and harnesses in bright reds, oranges, turquoise and yellow for an authentic Peruvian textile feel.
- Greeting cards: print a sheet at reduced size, color it and fold it onto a blank card for a birthday or "thinking of you" note.
- Watercolor wash: print on thicker paper and lay light washes for skies and meadows first, then finish the llamas with pencil detail.
- Seasonal wall gallery: color scenes from different times of year and rotate them on a corkboard as the months change.
- Group coloring night: hand out different sheets to friends or family, then line them up as a single mountain-village story.
- Party decor: color a few sheets, cut out the llamas and string them on twine as a garland for a llama-themed celebration.
