Kawaii means cute in Japanese, and the style has a look all its own: round faces, oversized sparkling eyes, tiny smiles and a softness that makes you want to reach into the page. Give that style to a baby unicorn and you get these kawaii unicorn coloring pages – big eyes with heart-shaped sparkles, rosy cheeks, a little spiral horn and a mane that tumbles in long, lazy curls. They're pure comfort to color, the kind of page you pick up after a long day and put down feeling lighter.
The kawaii look lives in a few small details, and they are easy to get right. Leave the white highlights in the eyes untouched – that sparkle is what brings the face to life. Add a soft pink blush to the cheeks, then give the mane a pastel gradient: lavender melting into pink and mint, each curl a shade deeper toward the tips. Bold, clean outlines make the characters easy and relaxing to color, while the manes, patterns and scenery around them leave plenty of room for blending and shading with colored pencils, gel pens, alcohol markers or watercolor.
The pages come in both classic black-and-white and color sample versions. The black-and-white sheets give you the whole picture to color any way you like. Color sample sheets show a bright finished version on top and the same outline below – a ready-made palette to follow, or a starting point to reimagine in colors of your own. Use the "Show me" buttons above the gallery to see every page, just the black-and-white sheets, or just the ones with a color sample. The color samples print best in color; on a black-and-white printer they come out in shades of gray, while the outline below still prints crisp and clean.
These cute unicorn coloring pages suit a quiet evening on your own, a coloring night with friends or a table shared with the little ones in your life. Every printable unicorn coloring page here is free and drawn with adult colorists in mind. Click the picture – PDF opens, US Letter, fits A4. - Bookmark: print a page on cardstock, color it, trim it into a slim strip with the unicorn in the center and finish with a ribbon through a punched hole.
- Unicorn garland: cut out several colored unicorns, tape them to a length of baker's twine and hang it over a desk, window or party table.
- Watercolor art print: print a sheet on heavyweight paper, paint it with soft washes and frame it for a bedroom, reading nook or craft corner.
- Sticker sheet: print on full-page sticker paper, color, and cut out the unicorns for planners, journals and gift wrap.
- Placemat: laminate a finished page for a wipe-clean placemat at breakfast or tea.
- Mane palette challenge: color the same unicorn several times, each with a different gradient, and pin up your favorite.
- Coloring swap night: everyone picks a unicorn, colors it in their own palette, and swaps the finished pages at the end of the night.
