A kawaii princess has the proportions of a plush toy: a head too big for the body, eyes that take up half the face, a dot of a nose and a blush on each cheek. Put that face on a girl with a tiara and a full skirt and you have the whole style. What these kawaii princess coloring pages add is the part most princess pictures leave out – something to do. The princesses here are busy in workshops, kitchens, gardens, stables and market stalls, usually with a prince, a friend or a small animal either helping or getting in the way. Every character is an original Papaya Ink drawing; nobody is borrowed from a film, a toy line or a show.
Click any picture and the sheet opens as a PDF in a new tab, ready to print. The pages are laid out for US Letter and print on A4 without losing anything at the edges; the white margin is already part of the drawing, so a printer with no borderless mode still gives a clean border. The line work is solid black on pure white, which keeps the toner bill low on a home printer.
The trick with kawaii faces is restraint. Leave the white highlight in each eye untouched, color the iris in two tones with the darker one at the top, and add the cheek blush last, with a pink pencil barely pressed. The dress is the largest area on most pages, so choose its color first and let everything else answer to it: pastels for the soft look, or one strong color against a mostly white page if you want it to look printed rather than painted. Backgrounds with stone, bark or fountain water are where the detailed pages earn a sharp pencil; the simpler ones go just as well with markers.

Fun Things to Make with These Coloring Pages
- Paper crown match – color a princess, then cut a strip of card, draw the same tiara shape along its top edge, color it to match and tape the ends together. The page and the crown go on the wall side by side.
- Storybook spread – color two pages, glue them side by side inside a folded sheet of card and write one sentence under each. A few of these stapled together make a book with a plot of its own.
- Window transparency – trace the outline onto tracing paper or a clear sheet protector with a fine black marker, color it with markers and tape it to a sunny window. Kawaii eyes glow nicely with light behind them.
- Pastel wash – color the whole page lightly with wax crayons, then brush a very thin watercolor over the top. The wax resists the paint, the white stays white, and the result looks softer than either medium alone.
- Fabric dress – cut the princess's dress shape out of a colored page, lay a scrap of real fabric or patterned paper behind the gap and glue it down. Lace, gingham and tissue paper all work.
- Bookmark strip – color a page, cut a tall strip that includes the princess's face, glue it to card and punch a hole at the top for a ribbon. Round the corners so it slides into a book without catching.
- Puppet on a stick – color, cut around the main figure with a little margin, glue it to card and tape a craft stick to the back. Two puppets from two pages are enough for a show behind the sofa.
- Glitter edge – run a thin line of glue along the tiara, the dress trim and any crown or frame, sprinkle fine glitter and tap off the excess. Edges only; glitter over a kawaii face buries the eyes.
