There is something calming about coloring a giraffe. The long, quiet neck, the patchwork coat, the slow walk across open grassland – it is a subject that rewards patience, which is exactly why our free giraffe coloring pages have become a favorite with adults who color to unwind. Every patch on the coat is its own small shape to fill, so you can work in short, relaxing sessions and watch the animal come together piece by piece.
This collection of printable giraffe coloring sheets mixes realism with play. The realistic giraffe coloring pages are drawn as detailed African savanna scenes with acacia trees, tall grass, water, distant hills and the wildlife that shares the plain – ideal for colored pencils, fine liners and anyone who enjoys shading and blending. The cute giraffe coloring pages are lighter and more playful, with bold outlines, friendly faces and storybook settings that work well with markers and crayons, so they are easy to share with kids at the same table.
Many of the pages also come as copy coloring sheets: the finished picture sits in full color on the top half, and the same drawing waits as clean line art underneath, with a dashed line between the two. Keep the sample in view and match it shade for shade, or ignore it and choose a palette of your own. The Show me buttons above the pictures let you see only the black and white pages, only the pages with a color sample, or everything together. A color sample needs a color printer to look right; on a black and white printer it comes out gray, so pick the plain line-art pages for that.
Click the picture – the PDF opens in a new tab, sized for US Letter and it fits A4 just as well. Print on regular office paper for pencils, or on heavier cardstock if you like markers or a light watercolor wash. The Download All as One PDF Book button gathers a ready-to-print stack of pages into a single file. All pages are free for personal use, classrooms, libraries, senior centers and coloring groups.

Fun Things to Make with These Coloring Pages
- Go beyond brown: color the coat patches in warm layers of ochre, caramel, rust and chestnut, and leave the lines between them a pale cream for a natural look.
- Try a sunset sky – blend yellow into orange and pink behind the trees and keep the animals slightly darker so they stand out.
- Turn a finished page into a growth chart header: mount it at the top of a long strip of paper and mark heights along the side.
- Cut out a colored giraffe, glue it to a folded card and let the neck rise above the top edge for a stand-out greeting card.
- Frame a realistic savanna page in a simple wooden frame – a set of them makes easy safari wall art for a study or a nursery.
- Fill each coat patch with a different pattern – dots, stripes, tiny leaves – for a relaxing doodle-style version.
- Color with a friend or grandchild: one of you takes the animals, the other takes the landscape, then swap on the next page.
- Laminate a favorite page and use it as a placemat or a wipe-clean sheet for dry-erase markers.
