Halloween for grown-ups is less about jump scares and more about atmosphere: candlelight on old brass, ivy over a shop sign, a full moon behind a wrought-iron gate. These Halloween coloring pages for adults are drawn in that register – dense line work, gothic architecture, layered botanicals and warm harvest still lifes, with black cats, ravens, mandalas, pumpkin patches, haunted houses and autumn interiors in the mix. The detail level is that of a printed coloring book, not a classroom handout, and every design is an original Papaya Ink drawing. Teens and older kids with patience are welcome; nothing here is gory.
The collection comes in two formats, and the Show me buttons above the grid switch between them. Black & White pages are full-page line art. With Color Sample pages carry a finished color version on the top half of the sheet and the same line art on the bottom, separated by a dashed line: color along with the sample, cut it off, or keep it as a palette reference while you choose your own. On a black-and-white printer the sample comes out gray, so pick the plain line art if color ink is scarce.
Click any picture and its PDF opens in a new tab, sized for US Letter and fitting A4 without scaling. Regular copy paper takes pencils fine; for alcohol markers or heavy gel pen, print on cardstock so the ink stays put. All pages are free for personal, classroom and library use.

Fun Things to Make with These Coloring Pages
- Go monochrome: color an entire gothic scene in a single family – deep plums, or oranges and rust – and let the white paper do the glowing.
- Candlelight trick: leave a tiny white halo around every flame and candle, then fade outward into warm yellow, then amber, then shadow.
- Frame it: color a finished page, trim the white border, and slip it into a thrifted black frame for instant seasonal wall art.
- Try a limited palette challenge with just black, one orange, one purple, and a metallic gold gel pen for highlights.
- Use alcohol markers on cardstock for the big shapes, then go back in with fine-tip pens for the tiny botanicals and stonework.
- Turn the mandala pages into a Halloween party activity – print several, set out pencils, and let guests color while they chat.
- Watercolor pencils work beautifully on the moonlit night skies: color dry, then blend with a damp brush for a soft glow.
- Color a page slowly over several evenings as a screen-free wind-down ritual through October.
- Photograph your finished page in warm lamplight and use it as a phone wallpaper or a printed greeting for a friend.
